HOW TO CARE YOUR SHOES ?

Because we know that not all of you have a doctorate in shoe polish, we thought it was our duty to explain to you how to take care of your leather shoes. Because it must be said, leather shoes, for men and women, must be pampered. Their longevity depends on it (and that of the planet too, for that matter!) Before discovering when and how to clean the leather of your shoes, a little reminder of the golden rules in terms of leather care.

THE 3 GOLDEN RULES

1.

Avoid wearing your shoes two days in a row. Vary the pleasures to allow time for the moisture to evaporate.

2.

Use shoe trees (or newsprint if that's all you have on hand) to preserve the shape of your valuables.

3.

Protect your shoes regularly with cleaning products that are suitable for them (no, lacquer does not act as a waterproofing agent, etc.)

HOW TO CARE FOR LEATHER SHOES?

Before wearing your leather shoes, you must waterproof them!
Choose a colorless spray and spray it evenly on your shoes from a distance of 20cm then let dry a few hours before wearing them. For contained protection, apply this spray regularly.
Then clean with a soft brush and without pressing too hard to remove daily dirt: dust, stains...
Finally, finish with a polish to breathe new life into the leather. Be careful, choose a polish of the same color as your shoes or a natural translucent polish otherwise you risk ending up with a dual-tasting shoe.
