MEN'S VEGETABLE TANNAGE LEATHER SHOES

Vegetable tanning is a natural process that transforms the collagen fibers of animal skins to make them resistant to water, heat and abrasion and give them great flexibility. Thus, it uses tannins (bark, wood, roots, leaves, etc.) found in nature to treat leather. (Vegetable tanned leather is not to be confused with vegan leather which is made from vegetable or synthetic materials). It has the advantage of revealing deep and nuanced colors with a finish unique leather that patina over time. We work with Leather Working Group certified tanneries to guarantee you leather shoes of a unique color and shine.
Leather remains a living material that requires regular maintenance. Vegetable tanned leather is more sensitive to water and does not contain chemicals, it is therefore important to protect it using a waterproofing agent that you can find in our maintenance kit for leather shoes.
